CAMBRIDGE SHOW.
The eighth annual show held at Cambridge under the auspices of the Waikato Central Agricultural Association was successfully opened on Thursday. The arrangements made by the energetic committee of management enabled the bulk of the judging to be completed in good time leaving the usual classes including the ring competitions to be adjudicated upon next day. Fine weather prevailed till well on in the afternoon when several drenching showers fell and caused visitors on the ground to make aTiurried exit. The splendid all-round exhibition of horses and stock, and especially in the sheep section, elicited keen admiration from competent judges. All were unanimously agreed that the quality of the animals penned was about the best the Auckland province could produce, ami the same of the sheep. The Uomneys, in particular, would be hard to beat in any competition in the I'ominion, Though the competition in the pig section was not keen there were some typical specimens of the various breeds yarded. The home industries) section formed a feature of the show, and the judge had su a a dillicult task to decide the actual merits of the exhibits in some sections that lie awarded more than one lira I and second prize in some classes,
