The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report: We held our annual ram fair at Ohaupo on Thursday, 23rd February, in conjunction with other firms, when we submitted 550 rams. There was a good demand for well grown rams, particularly those carrying plenty of wool. A consignment of Lincoln and English Leicester rams, bred by and sold on behalf of Mr R. WOOL SALES. Christchurch, Saturday. At the final sale of this season's series of local wool sales there was a fair attendance of buyers. There were 1784 bales catalogued, and as the sale was a closing one, there was a mixed offering, and mostly in small lots. Merinos were not in very keen demand, but halfbred and crossbred sold well. If anything prices were a shade easier than at the previous sale. Local buyers were operating more freely. A fair amount was passed, especially of the larger clips offered.
