The s.s. Tainui arrived from London in Wellington early on Saturday morning after a smart passage. Tnere are 196 assisted passengers (159 adults and 37 children) on board. Of this number, 64 (37 adults and 27 children) were nominated by relatives in New Zealand, and the remaining 132, of whom 122 are adults, were approved by the High Commisisoner. The assisted passengers include six farmers, 21 farm labourers, eight cooks, one ploughman, and eight women coming to rejoin their husbands.
