VALDARE'S AND GARRISON'S ENTERTAINERS.

One of the best variety shows that has ever visited To Kuiti appeared last night in the Town Hall, to a packed and enthusiastic audience. The clever juggling by Regg'ardo, the sword swallowing, and the performance'! of his clever dog must be seen to be appreciated. The dog created roars of laughter in its quaintly clever tricks. Mr Jules Garrison is a vaudeville artist of no mean order, and his humorous sketches and parodies in conjunction with his two charming Roman Maids were lively, vivid, and delightful. His recitation of "Gunga Din" was a masterpiece of dramatic art. Then we had the Valdares—a trio of bicycle trick riders who managed to make cycles and bi-cycles do almost everything but talk. Their evolutions on the cramped stage were all the cleverer because of its limitations. Interspersed with these items were others by Miss Hart and Miss Gertrude Vsrno and Mr James Mulligan. Altogether last night's performance was one of the very best we have seen of its class, and the announcement in another column that the company will show again to-night in an entire change of programme should result in another packed house.
