LOCAL ALLOCATIONS.

Tne Public Works Statement and Estimates were submitted last night, and allocations are as follows: Roads, etc., £270,480; hack-bloclc roads, £22;),520; Loans to Local Bodies account, £100,000; National Endowment Account, £15,335; Land for Settlement Account (say) £17,000; maintenance of roads (consolidated fund), £30,000; total, £712,935. The Caves road, Hangatiki to Waitomo, Arapao, Mairoa, Ngapaenga. Totoro, and Potak;* roads are allotted £i for £1 on account of thn various loans applied for on behalf of the said roads; £I2OO appears for the Ongarue bridge. Te Kuiti to Mokauiti road has £lOl 0 allotted, with a liability of £'.)s,s. Roads to give access to the improved farm settlement blocks on the Norlh Island Main Trunk have a vote of £lO,000.
