—A large yarding. Prices ruled much the same as last week. Heavy shorn wethers ISs to 21s 6d, moderate quality do. 15s to 17s 6d, unfinished to os, extra heavy shorn ewes to ISs 3d, good do. 14s to 16s 6d, light do. 10s to 12s, woolly sheep were represented by a lot of inferior wethers which made to ISs 6d. Lamb —An average yarding. The demand was keen and prices were better than last sales. Heavy made 16s 6d to 20s 6d, good 14s to 16s, small 10s to 12s. Pork —A fair yarding. Prices were lower. Good sold at equal to 3Jd per lb.

The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Co.. Ltd.. report:— At Te Kuiti on November 10th we yarded 1174 head of cattle and a few sheep. The cattle were a well bred lot the local cattle and those from neighbouring districts being especially choice and in splendid condition. The attendance was much smaller than usual, and only buyers and sellers were present. The sale, however, was a good one, and nearly all the stock were disposed of, but prices were a little easier than those ruling lately. Fat steers made £7 2s to £S 2s 6d, very forward 24 to 3 year wellbred st°.ers £5 5s to £6 Ss, fat cows and heifers £5 10s to £5 15s, 2 year steres £4 to £4 10s, good yearling to 15 month steers £3 to £3 ss, mixed yearlings not as good as above £2 10s to £2 15s, empty H to 2 year hiefers £3 12s 6d to £4 ss, springers £5 10s to £6 15s, fat, shorn wethers 16s, a few woolly hoggets 12s.

At Cambridge on 12 th inst. we yarded 343 sheep. 70 pigs, and 340 head of cattle. Cattle were easier in price, and a few lots were passed. Stocks on hand are light and firmly held in few hands. River Plate mutton is in large supply, and is being strongly pushed for saie. River Plate 3|d, Canterbury 4Jd, North Island 4d. Lamb —Offerings are in moderate quantities. Prices nominally are — Canterbury s|d, other than Canterbury sgd, Australian (new season's) 5Jd.

Beef —There is better demand, but supplies of River Plate beef are heavy. New Zealand hindquarters old, fores 2gd.

Butter—The market is quiet, but rather steadier. Lower prices have encouraged much better demand for best quality. There is no demand for poorer grades. The Turakina's shipment arrived in good condition. Choicest New Zealand butter 110s, Australian 106s, Danish 115s, Siberian IOSs.

Cheese —The market is quiet, but firm, and the demand is improving, but prices are unchanged. Canadian 573 per cwt.

Hemp —Tiie market is dull, and dependent on Manila reports. New Zealand good to fair, on spot, per ton £24, fair grade £2l, Manila £2O, forward shipment of New Zealand good to fair £23 10s, fair £2O 10s, Manila £2O. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. The stock of New Zealand hemp is 248 tons. Wool —The market is firm, with, a hardening tendency. Prospects are favourable. Bradford tops, 36's low crossbreds Is Hd, 40's do. Is 2M, 44's, medium crossbreds Is 4d, 50's half-breds Is 7£d, 56's quartre-breds Is 10id, 60's merinos 2s 4d.
