WEDDING AT KIHIKIHI.

A large number of friends and well wishers attended at St. John s Romar, Cathoilc Church, on Wednesday last to witness the wedding of Mr Frederick Verner, second son of Mr and Mrs Jonn Verner, of Kihikihi, Miss LLen Anne Cumpstone, only daughter of Mr and Mrs -John Cumpstone, of Otorohanga. The contracting parties being members of two highly-respectf-i families in the district, anc the bridegroom being an enthusiast ?n icotb:-.!! and all other sports, the aroused more than the usj-i! amount of interest. The Rev. Lynch performed the ceremony. T'ie bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Thomas Cumpstone, ws married in her travelling dress, which was a tailor-made costume o: blue cloth. She also wore a cream hat trimmed with sweet peas and carried a prayer book. The two bridesmaids were Miss Editn de Ville. of Tauvhare (a friend of the bride) and Mire Rita Verner, siscer of the bridegrcom. _ They wore cream dresses trimmed with silk embroidery, with hats to match, and carried bouquet white azaleas and fern. Mr Roiert Henderson, of Kihikihi, fulfil'3d the duties of best man. The breakfast, at which about 50 glials sat down, was held at the resident of the bridegroom's parents.
