ODDFELLOWS BALL AT TE AWAMUTU.

Resident Correspondent. The seventh annual ball under the auspices of the Loyal Te Awamutu Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., was brought to a highly successful issue on Wednesday night. Always an enjoyable event and capably managed in the past, each successive ball has claimed greater popularity. Notwithstanding the unpropiitous weather over 200 people were present, as many as 80 couples being on the floor at times. The management committep are to be highly complimented on the very complete arrangements made, the proceedings being brought off without a hitch of any kind. The hall was artistically decorated with greenery and bunting and together with the pret ty dresses of the ladies the scene was indeed a brilliant one, The floor had been prepared with especial care, for the occasion, and was excellent. The Ta Awamutu orchestra of seven members: Heir Moeller, conductor, violin; Mis-i Alexander, violin; Mr Lang. Bass; Miss Mandeno, Piano; Mr C. North, Clarionet; Mr J. North, Cornet; Edgecombe, Flute, supplied music of a high order and of whfch one and all who participated in the dancing sing high praises The excellence of the music contributed in no small degree to the general enjoyment. - I The supper was of a recherche description the very memory of which will cause many to look forward longingly to the next Oddfellows Ball.
