AUCKLAND SHOW.
The entries for the various classes at the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Show which takes place on Friday and Saturday next, shew very substantial increase s on the figures for the 1907 shew, and constitute a record for the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association. The show has been growing steadily larger for some years past, and the Association is alive to the opportunity that the Main Trunk line presents, of making the Auckland fixture the principal one in the North Island. Unfortunately the railway service will not be available for stock traffic till after the show, but the benefits will be experienced next year. A number of Southern breeders, who wish to exhibit sheep, have thus been debarred from doing so on this occasion. Special train arrangements are adverrtised in connection with the shew and a large attendance ;from the Waikato and King Country districts is expected.
