Committee Meeting. With a view to helping beginners to learn the game and the rules, it was decided at a meeting of the committee last evening, over which Mr S. R. O’Callaghan presided, to start a beginners’ class if sufficient members notify the secretary (Mr D. H. Stove). These classes would be held on the course and in a hall. The question of playing 36 holes on one day for the challenge cups was discussed, and it was eventually decided to play for them on Saturday afternoon as in the past. The club captain (Mr H. Wilson) reported on several matters in regard to the management of the course, and the secretary brought forward 17 new members. He said that subscriptions were coming in, but there were several unpaid. KAIKOURA LADIES’ CLUB. The following is the draw for a bogey match to be played on Saturday:— Mrs Carson and Miss Keenan.
