KAIKOURA LADIES’ CLUB. The following were the best cards returned in an L.G.U. medal round played last Saturday:—
Members are requested not to lean their bags on the fences round the greens. KAIKOURA CLUB. Yesterday in perfect weather a 36-hole match was played for the Cholmondeley Cup. The winner was A. O. Monk, who was eight over his handicap to retain the cup. The following were the best scores:—
It is good to see the new players, especially the beginners, turning out. No game is more difficult or more disheartening than golf for the “new chum.” It is just a case of sticking to it and practice and still more practice. Perhaps some means of coaching for the beginners may be devised.
