CHEVIOT NEWS

Tho Cheviot Band of Hope held its monthly social evening in the Presbyterian schoolroom, when there was a large attendance. A number of school children from the Gore Bay district contributed items. A sketch entitled “No Trains,” performed by the children, was much appreciated . Tho Rev. M. Jackson gave an interesting address on “Aims in Life.” The following items were given:—Recitations, Shirley Woods, Madge McClintock, David Jackson, and Mr G. Ridout; violin solo, Mr C. Odgen; duet, Miss N. Fraset and Mr H. Fomison; solos, Audrey McClintock, and G. Ridout; dumb-bell item and dance, Miss Nalda Fraser; club swinging, Mr G. Ridout.
