Applications are invited for the position of County Engineer.

A sale of cakes and produce will be held at St. Peter’s Schoolroom, on Wednesday next, at 2.30 p.m.

A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court will be held in Kaikoura, on Thursday, September 17.

Services in connection with the Presbyterian Church will be held as follows: Ngaio Downs, Saturday, September 12, at 7 p.m.; Kekerangu, Sunday, 13, at 11 a.m.; Glarence Bridge, 2.30 p.m.; St. Paul’s, Kaikoura, 6.30 p.m.

On Thursday next Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., will sell by public auction, at the Pound Reserve, Kaikoura, furniture and effects, on account of Mrs Brooke. All the furniture is in good order. In the event of the weather being unfavourable, arrangements will be made to hold the sale in the Drill Hall.
