Cinna, Marcus, and their followers hearing of this lay in wait for the High Priest, and his hordes. On their arrival at the tomb a .sharp fight takes place and Julia is res* cued and restored to her lover. The High Priest pursues, but is killed by Marcus. The effects in this picture ar* most elaborate particularly the lighting effects which depict the soft interior light of the temple as against the.; exterior, showing up the old Roman architecture to great.'" advantage. The midnight scene at the temple in which there is a moonlight effert is simply unparalled in cinematography. The picture must be seen to be be« lieved, as a matter of fact has never been excelled in New Zea» land, tt is most seldom that a picture proprietor has the good fortune to be able to present to his patrons such a magnificent picture and to be able to supplement it with another star picture just as good though treating of a historical rather than mythical subject is a happy occurrence that only happens very seldom.
