CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

PAEROA TO SEEK SUPPORT

There were over 140 businesses in Paeroa which should subscribe to the Paeroa (Chamber of Commerce (and not 50 per cent of them supported -the chamber, said Mr J. J. Craig, president of -the chamber at its June meeting.

Mr Craig stated that he 'hoped to be able to get the membership up to 100 before the end of the year. He was enthusiastic about the value of the work of the chamber, the existence of which was of considerable importance to the town.

Mr Craig informed members that he proposed to call a meeting of the executive to deal with the matter and he urged members to do their best to induce people to subscribe to the organisation.
