WOMEN’S DIVISION

HUIRAU ROAD BRANCH TO HOLD FLOWER SHOW Members of the Huirau road branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers met at Mrs E. Clark’s residence for their February meeting, Mrs Scott presiding. Final arrangements were made for the combined flower show to be held in March. Competitions resulted: Best bloom, Mrs Clark; child’s skirt, Mrs Clark; child’s knitted garment, Mrs Green; wandering shilling, Mrs Bates. Those in charge of parcels for Britain are Mesdames Tetley, Clark and Fox. Afternoon tea, served by the hostess, concluded a very busy afternoon.
