MORE THAN TWO ABREAST TRAFFIC IN PAEROA REPORT BY THE INSPECTOR One traffic offence notice was issued and a motor car driver prosecuted for bring intoxicated whilst in charge of a vehicle on the racecourse, reported the traffic inspector, Mr D. T. Somerville, to the February meeting of the Paeroa Borough Council. “ A number of warnings been issued for minor offences, such as riding cycles more than two abreast. I noted a large number of cyclists riding in mass formation, taking up more than half the usable roadway. I took the matter up with the authority concerned who have assured me that they will give me every cooperation. “ Only one driver was tested for a license. “ I inspected the parking area ia the vicinity of Belmont road with the borough foreman and would respectfully suggest that the council marl out the street so that four cars qould be parked outside the doctor’s residence in Station road. This would co*p< with the parking problem and de away with any traffic haszard. “ Extensive patrols have been carried out in the borough by night and day.”
