FLOODING IN KOMATA

MOVING STOCK NECESSARY WATER NOT GETTING AWAY \ Although there have been no reports of damage from flooding in the Komata area, that district did not escape its share of the water from rain that fell recently. On most properties in the area rain that came down from the hills has backed up in the streams and drains because of not having been able to get away at the outlets.

Several farmers have had to move their cattle and other stock, off the lower ground because of the water. In many parts the ground has been covered for the past week or more.
