DANCE FOR J-FORCE
' WAITAKARURU FUNCTION ENJOYABLE EVENING HELD The newly organised Waitakaruru Youth Club held a complimentary dance ion the J-Force boys of the district in the Waitakaruru Hall recently. There was a fair attendance,, which helped to make the evening so enjoyable. The orchestra was the Rhythm Ramblers from Kerepeehi, and the duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr G. Yeager. An extra was played by Miss Dorothy Paton. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mr and Mrs M. Leonard. Monte Carlo fox trot winners were Miss Kathleen Thomasen and Mr Edward Hall, and spot waltz winners were Miss Maureen Leach and Mr Ron. Duffin. Mr Leonard spoke a few words on behalf of all present wishing the boys well on their trip to Japan, each boy suitably replying. The boys were: Messrs Ray Leonard, Bob Paton, Mervyn Leach, Keith Anderson and Paul Bates.
