HOCKEY IN PAEROA COMMITTEE ELECTED KEEN INTEREST DISPLAYED At a well attended meeting of supporters presided over by Archdeacon W. G. H. Weadon, and held in the .Paeroa Rotary Rooms last evening, it was 1 decided to revive hockey in the district. Teams from Hikutaia and Paeroa and possibly Kerepeehi will meet in competition. A letter was received from the Paeroa Rugby Union, agreeing to the use of the hockey ground on the Paeroa Domain. It was decided to affiliate with Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association. The following officers were elected. —Patron: Archdeacon W. G. H. Weadon; president: Mr F. Craig; vicepresidents: Mrs G. Gamble, Mrs Len Gibb. Mr A. Duncan (Hikutaia), Mr Geo. Ruscoe, Mr Hj. M. Shand, Mrs ,P. J. Alley (Hikutaia); secretary: Mrs C. Handley; treasurer: Mrs Cedric Murdock (Hikutaia); committee: president, secretary, treasurer aad two delegates from each club; registrar: Miss V. Alley (Hikutaia); auditor: Mr R. S. Nicol; coach: Mr Les. Bogue. The first executive -meeting- will be held on May I'3 in the Paeroa Gazette Office.
