£57 STOLEN

PAEROA SHOP ENTERED LOSS SATURDAY NIGHT MONEY FROM CASH REGISTER The main shop of Victoria Bakeries, Ltd.. Paeroa, was entered on -Saturday. night and a sum of money totalling £57 was stolen from the cash register. How the thief or thieves gained entry to the shop is somewhat of a mystery as none of the doors or windows, all of which were locked, had been forced. The managing-director, Mr D. Leach, slept on the premises on Saturday night and was only absent from the shop from 6 p.m. until approximately 8 p.m. Notes only were taken from the till and- cheques and silver were not interfered with. The police are investigating.
