PAEROA CATTLE SALE
SMALL ENTRY OF DAIRIES SHARP RISE IN BONERS The New Zealand. l Loan andi Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report an average yarding at their fortnightly cattle sale in Paeroa on Monday. There was only a small entry of dairy cattle and prices were on a par with previous sales, choice heifers making up to lOgns. There was a keen demand' for good quality beef and prices showed an increase on last week’s sales, best quality beef making up to £lO ss. There was a sharp rise in the boner section, export buyers were operating very freely. Good heavy boners were up from 15s to £1 per head’ on previous sales. Quotations: —
Heifers, calved and close to profit, extra choice from £9 10s to £lo' 1’Os; cows, calved' and close to profit, extra choice from 1 £7 10s to £8 15s; beef, prime young cows and heifers, from £9 to £9 15s, medium quality £7 2s 6d to £8 17s fid; boners, heavy from £6 7s 6d to £7 2s 6d, medium 1 £5 10s to £6, light £4 7s 6d to £5; potter bulls from £6 7s fid to £9.
