CHILDREN’S FAIR

FUNCTION IN WHITIANGA PARCEL FUND ASSISTED Beverley, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs H. McKenzie, assisted by friends arranged a very successful children’s fair at Mercury Bay during the school holidays. The children worked hard and collected and made articles for sale. They were in full charge of the stalls andl the kiddies did enjoy buying and selling. 'They also had' to buy their afternoon tea ,which consisted of a lovely selection of cakes, sandwiches and soft drinks. A competition for the “best dressed doll” was won by Beverley McKenzie. The Soldiers’ Parcels’ Fund benefited by £2'6s which is a great credit to the kiddies.
