RECENT IMPROVEMENT APPRECIATION EXPRESSED When discussing the engineer’s report at the September ineeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council, Cr. C. W. Schultz asked what was the cost of repairing the Piako road corner. The engineer- replied that the cost was about £lBO. Cr. Schultz said the settlers were very appreciative of the work done, but he asked that more metal be put ( on the road during the next few months.

The engineer said that he intended to put some metal on the road as soon as possible.
