GUIDES GATHER
NGATEA WATTLE COMPANY ENROLMENT CEREMONY PRESENTATION OF BADGES A gathering of parents and friends congregated at the Ngatea School grounds to witness the enrolment of the Guides of the Ist. Ngatea Wattle Company. Scouts bearing the colours led the procession into a horseshoe formation where Miss Noble of Morrinsvillc, the Guide Commissioner, conducted the ceremony in a most efficient manner. The Scoutmaster. Mi Rogers, presented Miss D. Cribb (captain), and in turn, Miss Cribb presented Lieutenants Isohel Jones and Mavis Thomas. The patrol leaders, seconds, and guides were presented, given their badges and returned to their rc-
spective patrols after having saluted the colours and the company. The Guides were: — Kiwi Patrol.—-Patrol Leader, .lean Sydenham; Second. Beverley Colyer; Joan McKee, Moya Burke, Gay Morrow. Tui Patrol. —Patrol Leader, Joyce Cocks; Second, Kathleen Jackson; Betty Turner. Elva Johns. Jean Dalgety. Fantail Patrol. —Pa'iroi Leader, Royna Mears; Second. Gwen Dalgety; Doreen Dalgety, Phyllis Waugh. Marlene Williams. Kingfisher Patrol.—Patrol Leader. Frances Waite; Second, Daphne McLean; Margaret Waite, Peggy O’Brien, Lois Smith, Eva Yelavich.
