DAIRY CATTLE IN DEMAND GOOD SALE AT MORRINSVILLE The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Ltd., report that' at their weekly stock sale held at Morrinsville on Friday there was a small yarding of fat sheep but a good yarding of stores, including the advertised lines of wethers and breeding ewes. Competition for wethers was keen while an improved enquiry existed for young ewes, but aged ewes were dull of sale. Fat cows were yarded in larger numbers and sold under steady competition at full late rates. A full yarding of boner cows also realised late rates. Empty Jersey heifers were in good demand. i

There was another large yarding of dairy cattle including the advertised herd. Competition for good quality young cows and heifers was keen and recent improved rates were fully maintained. Poorer and backward sorts were neglected. 'There was a medium yarding of fat pigs consisting mostly of baconers. Also a full entry of breeding sows, stores and weaners. Competition for all classes was keen, a good sale resulting. Quotations: — Sheep.—Fat wethers to 26s 6d; fat lambs, 21s 6d; forward conditioned wethers, 255; store wethers, 17s 6d to 225; best 2-th. ewes, 255; others, 22s Gd to 23s 9d; m.a. ewes, 22s to 24s 6d; 5-year ewes, 18s to 20s; older ewes, 15s.
