A GREAT HELP

PARCELS APPRECIATED NGATEA BOY IN CANADA “KEEP UP YOUR EFFORTS” A letter of appreciation has been received by the secretary of the Ngatea branch of the Patriotic luna Bdard, Mrs E. Sherlock, from a Ngatea soldier, Sergeant George Marchant who is at present serving in Canada. The writer thanks the Ngatea and other branches of the board for parcels the boys in Canada have received from New Zealand. “Just the other day,” writes Sergeant Marchant, “I received a parcel from the Anzac Club here. The work you people are doing is really magnificent and I can more than appreciate how much more our boys in the Desert must thank God for your work.

We have not yet tasted the gruelling of active combat, but I take my hat off to those fine boys who have endured and accomplished so mudt. “The Anzac Clubs in both America and Canada are doing a wonderful service for us, and they are a great help in a strange city. They arrange accommodation, tours and free passes to all the main events of the town. We have more invitations to private homes than we can keep up with. It means a lot to find homely clubs and gift parcels waiting for one in a strange country. “Keep up your efforts and you may rest assured of our appreciation and blessings for you and your work.”
