MORE SUMMERTIME

HALF-HOUR ALL THE YEAR

GOVERNMENT’S DECISION

An announcement that the half-hour of daylight saving operative in New Zealand during the summer would be continued throughout the year was made on Thursday by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser. He said the extension would be carried out by regulation, which was more elastic than by legislation.

Mr Fraser added that everybody seemed to be unanimous about the extension for the whole year.
