HIGH PRODUCTION
FIGURES MAINTAINED 110,025 COWS UNDER TEST ASSN. NOVEMBER AVERAGES The high production figures secured in the Waikato during the early months of the 1940-41 season were maintained during November. The Auckland Herd Improvement Association reports that the 110,025 cows tested during November, 1940, yielded an average of 8391 b. of milk and. 39.21 b. of fat. For the corresponding month last year 78,938 cows yielded an average of 8151 b. of milk and 36.71 b. of fat, while in 1938 7521 b. of milk and 33.41 b. of fat was the average return of the 83,360 cows tested during November.
Averages were:— Coromandel. —14 herds, 632 cows, 8451 b. milk, 4.63 test, 391 b. fat. Matatoki-Hikutaia.—2B, 1603, 849, 4.60, 39.
Netherton. —1'8,981, 865, 4.76, 41. Nfatea-Turua.—*-13, 810, 847, 4.45, 38.
Paeroa.—l7, 847, 853, 4.64, 40. Waitakaruru-Pate tonga. —28, 15|27, 8942, 4.73/ 40.
