While carrying bags of money and the pay roll for a local department store at Darlingh'urst to-day, two men were attacked tv bandits. Pepper was thrown in their eyes. A shot was also fired'. The bandits escaped in a waiting motor car, ’
Thei victims of the outrage were George Oakman, aged 66, years, and Leslie Klyb, aged 44. Oakman was shot in the groin. The pair were taken to hospital. They are in no danger, but-they are suffering intense pain from the pepper.
