In the Davis Cup, Gregory and Collin (England) beat Hopman and Crawford (Australia) B—6, 10—8, 6—2. Hopman was in nothing like his previous day’s form. Crawford played brilliantly in the second set, but in the third both Australians failed before the English attack.
At Barcelona, Otha (Japan) beat Juanico (Spain) 6—l, 3—6, 6—2, 6v-2.
