Confirmation has been received by Harbin consular authorities regarding peasant mutinies in the vicinity of Vladivostock which are reported as incTpasina'ly serious. Russkv Island, Vladi vostock harbour, was occupied by the mutineers. The cretvs of Soviet gunboats Yorovsky, Krasny and Vimpel revolted and liberated several thousand shore prisoners and telephone and telegraph communications between Harbin and Vladivostok are interrupted. Passengers arriving at Harbin declared the peasant uprisings in villages and maritime provinces are spreading and the authorities are panicky, owing to their inability to suppress them.
