Australian Press Assn.—United Service BRAZIL RIOTING. (Received this day at 8 a.m.) RIO DE JANEIRO, August 15. Diamond regions in two Brazilian states ol Matte and Goyaz are thrown in an uproar by rioting by prospectors with the result that several towns were looted and several murders committed by enraged natives. The latter assert they were paid for work in counterfeit money, and after weeks of toil in the wilderness they were unable to buy anything with the money received. The prospectors then turned bandits, searching for the offenders. When the police tried to prevent them entering the towns they burned houses and attacked the inhabitants. Several soldiers and one police commander are reported killed. BURNED TO DEATH. NEW YORK, Aug. 14. A message from Redwood City, California, states that Mrs Koff, Howard Koff, aged seven, and Miss Heynaii (school teacher) were burned to death to-day, when a fire destroyed the summer home of Sol Koff, the San Francisco millionaire. SHOOTING. OTTAWA, August 14. Corporal A. M. Ray, of the Australian Bislev team, won the McDougall match ol the Canada Rifle Association at Connaught Ranges yesterday. Wonderful shooting was continued to-day in the Walker match, when ten possibles out of thirty-five were made at 300 yards, among them being Sergt. Harrison (Australia). Sergt. Norman McLeod (Toronto) won the hankers match, scoring the possible 50 on a 200 yards range, followed by 49 at 600 yards. Three marksmen made 99, including Sergt, Arm-strong (Australia),
