CRICKET.
r Austra!ia <fc N.Z. Cable Association.] FILCHING PLAYERS. LONDON, Jan. 23. The “Observer’s” cricketing critic comments: “That the English Club should bo willing to take two internationals from Australia amounts to a cricketing crime. If we call ourselves sportsmen we cannot condone this filching. Such desertions .should be made impossible. When Australia loses her best bowler, as in 1921, and now has her brightest young batsman lured away, Australians may begin to revise opinions of British .sportsmanship. Let us have done with such nefarious practices, which indicates either England possesses little sportsmanship or is played out and has not home-grown material.
