[by TELEGRAPH —PER PRESS ASSOCIATION] v A LENGTHY LIST. LONDON,'Jan. 1. Tlie New Year’s honours include five Barons, including Sir William Beardmore, chairman of the big engineering firm of William Beardinore and Co; Mr M. L. Vaughan-Davies, M.P., for Cardiganshire; and Sir Horace B. Marshall formerly Lord Mayor of London. Twenty-one new baronets have been created, including Admiral Sir Cecil Burney, and Lieut-General Sir Robert Baden Powell. There are forty-two knights, including Mr Charles Gill, Iv.C.; MriMartin Harvey, the actor; Mr Rylands, president of the Federation of British Industries; Dr Sprigge, editor of. the “Lancet”; and Dr Williams, editor of the “British Medical Journal.”
Two Companions of Honour, the Rev Dr John Clifford, the well-known Baptist clergyman, and Sir John Ellerman, controlling owner of several shipping lines, have been created. King’s Police Medals have been granted to Superintendent Atkinson Brooks, of New South Wales, and Sergeant Charles Rose, of South Australia.
