'At- the above yards yesterday the entry comprised 35 bead of lat cattle. Competition was limited and as a conse quence prices were a shade easier than the last fixture pens "ere passed not reaching vendors’ ideas of value. Ox beef was about 45s per hundred and heifers slightly under this figure. Messrs Jeffries and Co sold. lollowing :— On account of IV. H. Karnbacli 2 blks. at £l4/10/-, 4 blks. at £l3/2/6 and 2 at £l3. On account of Mr IV. H. Chinn, 3 heifers at £ll, and 2 at £lO/10/-, 11 at £lO/7/6.
Messrs M. Houston and Co. report as follows: We held our usual sale at the above yards yesterday, there being only a moderate attendance of buyers. Our yarding comprised light and unfinished cattle, which were all cleared at current rates. We sold 30 sheep at 2Ss on account of Messrs Boyd and Ryan; 2 steers at £lO/10/-, 2 heifers at £6/10/-, 2 steers at £lO/10/-, 3 at £9/2/6, at. £B/10/-, 1 veider at £3/10/-, 1 cow and 2 vealers for £B IS/- on account, of W. Olderog; 1 cow at £9/12/6 for Mr D. Agnew.
