ACQUISITIONS BY A.P.A
The Australian Provincial Assiarance Association, Ltd., which recently purchased the Co-operative Assurance Company's business, yielding some £40,000 a year in life and personal accident business, has now completed the purchase of the Life Insurance Company of Australia's life and personal accident business, producing approximately £140,000 yearly. The acquisition of these two companies is a most forward step, and will give great satisfaction to shareholders and policyholders alike. The giant strides made by this vigorous and progressive institution have been made the subject of much favourable comment. The*record of the Australian Provincial Assurance Association, Ltd., stands out most prominently as one of the marvels of modern insurance. Its potentialities, judged by its vigorous growth, will compel older companies to look to their laurels if this well-known company is not to surpass them in the vigour of its growth and its hold on the confidence of the public.
