WELLINGTON, April 28. , The feature of the visit of the squadron to-day was the ceremonial march of fifty officers and 1200 men from the' warships through the streets of the city, witnessed by enthusiastic cheering crowds. Lord Jellicoe, attended by Mr Massey and other Ministers, . took the salute at the steps of' Parliament House. The weather was windy, ' but fine. The column of men from the navy included two companies of seamen from the Hood, two lrom cue itep m&*.-, a niacriine-gun company trom both ships, and two . field guns, with | the crews, one company of the Adelaide I stretcher detachment and two com- j panics of Royal Marines, with the bands of the Hood and Repulse. were entertained by the Govu.-nraent at luncheon an hour 'later. Naval sports took place in the Basin Reserve this afternoon, and the evening's event will be the Navy League ball.
