FIRE ON LINER.
OUTBREAK IN BUNKERS
(BT TELEGBAPH —PB.ESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 5. A fire was discovered this afternoon in the bunkers on the liner Westmore**»d > is .berthed at Queen's Wharf. The fire was situated in a cross-bunker between the stokehold and the main bunker, and it is thought to have been extinguished by the .ship's appliances. Coaling operations have been suspended, and the steamer's departure for American ports and England with 12,000 tons of produce is now indefinite.
