The board received a letter from their solicitor ■Pointing out the fact that the ?S r £ aQ™& licensed district to supply hght and power , The foreman's duties for the mqnth' consisted^ of-work to-footouths and tarring of the streets
The engineer's report with suggestions was adopted. A.-special meeting is to be held'on Ihursday evening, at 7.30, to deal with tenders for the housebuiJdin<r It was resolved to have films insured in future.
A letter was received from the Kaponga Chamber of Commerce in reference to the foreman's hours of work — It was decided that the clerk write the foreman m terms of the above letter and request him to pay attention to samo.
It was resolved that the foreman shall not attend to any of the sanitary work except m the event of the plumber being out of tovrn.
Accounts amounting to £314 vrere passed for payment.
