WELLINGTON. July 18. Can a person be charged with stealing his own property? This question wns raised in Court to-day when Charles O'Loughlin was charged with stealing his own motor-car from outside a garage where it had been left far repairs. These had been effected, and owing to the crowded 'state- of the garage the oar had been pla-ced on the street. O'Loughlin came along and took the ear away 'without' paying for the repairs. Counsel for defendant submitted that the garage man had no interest in the car, though he had ?. claim for the amount of repairs. The case was dismissed.
