SEA CARRIAGE OF GOODS
WELLINGTON, May 20. The Prime Minister has received cabled advice from the Imperial Government to the effect that the Sea Carriage of Gdods Bill, passed during the last session of Parliament, received Royal Assent on the 4th inst. jjfJThis Act in the main includes the existing legislation relating to liability for the sea carriage of goods taken from the Shipping and Seamen's Act. 1908, and other clauses which are included were agreed upon between shipmne jand^iinporting interests rluriner the \?£nw&g of eviden~e last session bef^rp tr-° Statutes "Region Committees of both Houses of Parliament.
