PLANS FOR AIR FORCES,

BY CABLE—r-fiESS ASSOCIATION— COPYEIGHT

LONDON, May 20.

The Sunday Express, dealing with the Imperial Airship Service, saya the Imperial Defence Committee' and Admiral Burney are expected to complete all details by May 29, when public support will be sought in the money market.

The plans are ready for air liners capable of carrying 150 tons across ygm world at a speed of 80 miles houriy. The airships will have the comfort and luxury of the largest liners, and will be as far ahead of their war-time predecessors as those were ahead of the old balloons.

Admiral Burney has been negotiating with the British Government regarding an airship service to India, reducing the Australian mail time to two week,s. As soon as the matter is decided a company will be formed, ships built and the service inaugurated within 18 months. The present scheme embraces what Admiral Burney calls the half stage to India. If Australia gives financial support he hopes to arrange a bi-weekly service to India, together with a weekly extension to Australia, carrying mails, passengers and produce.
