The process where uy this Wholemeal Flour is made is probably the only one in New Zealand. Instead of the modern process of grinding, which takes out of the wheat a lot of the valuable food properties, the old method of stone rolling or grinding is employed, which retains all the rich food values of the wheat. It may be interesting to learn that the old mill where the Wholemeal is ground was built by the soldiers about 1850, and is still worked by a member of the original owner's family.
