A Wellington press message says: Startling disclosures regarding the teeth of the New Zealand youth, is contained in a report of the principal dental officer at Trentham Camp, who carried out the dental examination and charting of 251 Senior Cadets who underwent a course of instruction during the period January to May,. 1919. Of thisl number there were only 15 hoys wm> did not require dental attention, and the remainder presented an average of approximately twelve defective teeth each. A summary shows that in the mouths of 251 Cadets examined, 2578 fillings were required, and 162 extractions of 20 artificial dentures.
