LONDON, Oct. 19. Lords Milner and Stanhope visited, the New Zealand convalescent camp at Hornchurch. They investigated the military edtication system, and expressed the; strongest approval of tlie principle of compulsion, which, is applied to | a certain proportion of the education throughout. The Neiw Zealand Forces also have continuity of ■ instruction from camp to camp. The men's obvious enthusiasm for the work and the absence of aimlless loitering greatly impressed the visitors, also the importance; of men--1 tal training in. assisting a rapid recovery. Military Crosses have been awarded to the following New Zealanders: Lieut-. ■ C. F. Atmore, Second-Li'sut. A. McDonald (Otago\ Lieut. A. Gordon (Auckland), Limit. H. Knubley, Si-cond-Lieut A. BlomfieM, W. H. Yorko (Cyclists); Second-Lieuts. "W. Banning, T. T. Murray, R. Whitefield (Rifle Brigade), E. F. Tyson (Ffcild Artillery).—Avs,-&,Z. O.A. and Reuter.
