A crowded meeting at the Town Hall to inaugurate the Protestant Political Association passed a resolution' express- | ing hearty approval of the national ! system of education in vogue in New Zealand as opposed to the sectarian system, and its determination to strenuously combat all attempts to interfere with religious liberty which the* national system alEords; als"o congratulating the Minister for Education on. ins firm opposition to the granting of State aid to the Roman Catholic schools.
