Balgownie Hack—l Johnny Walker 1,-3 Rio 2, 4 Hexton 3. Also started: 7 Dingle, 2 Henry Clay, 5 Crown Head, 8 Cross Words, 6 Sigribrella, 9 War Loan. Won by two lengths, a similar distance separating the next two T.me, 2.4 3-5. Grandstand Steeplechase— 5 Marton 1, 2 Nita 2, 8 Jackman 3. Also started: 4 Hereford, 4 St. Elmn, 1 Czar-1 onus, 11 Sandy Paul, 6 Arlington, 7 Grey Guard, 10 Silver Monarch 9 Papatere, 3 Styrax. Won easily by two lengths. Time, 5.23.
