ISSUE OF TREASURY BILLS.
(Australian-N.Z. Cable Association.) (Received May 28, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, May 27. The Treasury is inviting tenders for forty millions of Treasury bills, payable in t-nree, six and twelve months. (Received May 28 12.20 p.m.) PETROGRAD, May 27. It is estimated that the first month's subscriptions to the Liberty Loan will considerably exceed one thousand million roubles. Over thirty thousand gramophone records of speeches by eminent statesmen appealing for support of the loan are being distributed throughout the country.
