IMAGINATIVE GERMAN VERSION.
(Received May 28, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, May 27. In fine weather the invaders flew at a. great height, screened by a bank of clouds, and scarcely any part of tho town escaped. At least'sixty high explosive bombs were dropped. The greatest damage was done in a crowded shopping centre, where the bodies and limbs of victims, with the carcases of horses, were lying about. Several prominent residents were included in the death roll. The invaders also visited three neighboring towns, but little damage was done, though a few persons were injured. During a break in the clouds the raiders were seen for a few seconds with British airmen pursuing them and firing, but it is believed they got clear of the coastline without loss. Five seaplanes attacked the raiders at another point. The Britishers vent in pursuit of the enemy, who headed across the Channel. No naval or military damage was done.
. LONDON, May 26. ' A Berlin official report gives an imaginative "account of the air raid on the 24th. It says: We attacked the fortified places of Sheerness, Harwich, and Norwich successfully. All our airships returned unharmed despite the perfect, ed enemy defences.
